Min’s gift to Barney is a picture of Barney along with the poem Roses are Red. It’s now time for Barney to be given his birthday presents. The children begin decorating the Birthday Cake for Barney dancing to the tune of Peanut Butter. The kids then see how delicious the cake is and now realize it’s all for them to decorate. Confused at first they then give it a try thinking where to look?įinding a cake Barney then explains that he had something to do with it being his birthday and thinking that he should at least help out a little. Seeing that they can’t bake a cake Barney insists that they instead look for a cake. After the song the kids then realize that they need a cake for Barney’s birthday.

She then sings Happy Birthday in Filipino. Min also takes the time to explain how her family came from the Philippines and that how Happy Birthday is said in Filipino is Maligayang kaarawan. In the end she says the Feliz Cumpleanos which is Happy Birthday in Spanish. Also noticing a Pinata in the classroom Tina takes time to explain the traditions of a Mexican birthday celebration as well as sing the song that her grandfather taught her.

Tina also explains to Barney about some surprise birthday presents and in order to keep them a surprise asks him to wait outside. As Barney explains that he grows just like everyone else it then leads into the song Growing.īarney then sees what the kids are making from Tina and Kathy making streamers while Shawn and Min make Party Hats. Min opens the door to make things much easier for him which works as he proves to be as tall as the door. When it’s Barney’s turn it proves to be difficult for him because he’s too big to be measured. Everyone see’s how tall they are with Tina measuring everyone and then Min measuring her to see how much she’s grown since Kindergarten. The kids lead Barney over to the growth chart in order to see how much he has grown. Min then gets the birthday crown however thinking it won’t fit him Barney assures her that it will with imagination which indeed it does.
